Our entire High School delegation did a great job at the Kentucky Youth Assembly earlier this month. Students asked questions, made speeches, and got involved in debate.

Mae Wilson and Jackson Sleadd, our two bill sponsors, both got their bills passed through 4 houses and signed into law. Jackson’s bill was a constitutional amendment, so it was also ratified by a 2/3 majority of the entire conference.

Mae won an Outstanding Delegate award and both Jackson and Lucy Johnson won Outstanding Speaker awards. Jackson’s bill was also the highest ranked bill in the Commonwealth division and won the Governor’s choice award.

Our delegation collectively earned the Premier Delegation Award.
