Friends! Romans! Francis Parker Theater Arts Lovers! Please join us for the Middle School spring play – William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet!
A Francis Parker tradition is to allow our Middle School thespians the opportunity to experience Shakespeare in all its comedic and dramatic glory! Romeo and Juliet tells the tale of a long feud between the Montague and Capulet families that disrupts the city of Verona and causes tragic results for the young lovers. Revenge, love, and a secret marriage force the star-crossed youths to grow up quickly — and fate causes their tragic endings. Contrast and conflict are running themes throughout Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet — one of the Bard’s most popular romantic tragedies.
Directed by Francis Parker Theater Arts Director, Reed Gabhart, a large cast and crew will bring this abridged production to life in the Goshen Campus Theater on Friday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 16 at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m., and Wednesday, April 19 at 6:30 p.m. So spread the word because, after all, “For never was a story of more woe, than this of Juliet and her Romeo.”
All Francis Parker students (Preschool – 12th grade) and faculty/staff receive a complimentary show ticket. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for non-Francis Parker students. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. Cash, credit cards, and checks are accepted.
