High School Spanish teacher Angela Katz will present a historical perspective of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia from the Middle Ages through the present day. Angela was born and raised in Ukraine and lived there until she was 25. She grew up in Kherson, close to Odessa, where forces have been battling in recent days. Angela received her bachelor’s degree from Simferopol State University in Crimea. She has been a faculty member at St. Francis School since 2000.
Angela recently gave a version of this presentation to many of our High School students, and she graciously offered to give the presentation again in the evening, remotely, so that all the adults and older students in our school community could have the opportunity to hear her perspective.
This event is open to the community at large, so feel free to share the link: meet.google.com/gim-jfpr-meu
Thank you, Angela, for sharing your knowledge and experience with us.
