Francis Parker Theater Arts Presents “The Drowsy Chaperone JR.”
Francis Parker School of Louisville - Goshen Campus 11000 U.S. Highway 42, Goshen, KY, United StatesFrancis Parker Theater Arts is proud to present the Middle School spring musical, The Drowsy Chaperone JR. A Broadway Junior adaptation of the Tony-winning musical comedy, The Drowsy Chaperone JR. is a loving satire of the Golden Age musical, featuring hysterical numbers and colorful characters. A woman shares with the audience her favorite record - the 1928 musical The Drowsy Chaperone. As she plays the record, the show comes to life in her apartment, complete with wonderful songs from the Roaring '20s and plenty of dance and comedy! Mix in two lovebirds on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theater producer with his ditzy/flapper/wannabe starlet, a flighty hostess with her deadpan assistant, gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan, an aviator, and a sleepy chaperone, and you have the "recipe" for a raucous musical that will have everyone laughing! Performances are Friday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 28 at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m., and Wednesday, May 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the Goshen Campus Theater (11000 U.S. Highway 42, Goshen, KY 40026) and are produced and directed by Francis Parker Theater Arts Director Reed Gabhart.
